How Man Utd could line up for Europa League clash vs Partizan Belgrade with Rashford, Greenwood and Martial

MANCHESTER UNITED travel to Partizan Belgrade without their two highest earners – Paul Pogba and David De Gea.

Pogba has a foot injury while De Gea misses the trip to the Serbian capital with a groin problem.

Man Utd’s likely lineup v Partizan Belgrade

It was a surprise to see the Spanish goalkeeper named in the starting XI forSunday’s draw with Liverpool but he hasn’t trained since.

United announced the party heading to the Serbia after a training session yesterday.

And aside from those two big omissions, there were some pleasant surprises.

Jesse Lingard returns to the fold having shrugged off a hamstring injury.

And young defender Ethan Laird was welcomed to the first team squad for the first time.

Man Utd alternative lineup vs Partizan Belgrade

However the pair are unlikely to start United’s Group L clash.

Sergio Romero looks set to start in goal after De Gea’s omission.

And Brandon Williams is likely to slot in at left-back with Luke Shaw missing.

Anthony Martial is also likely to return to the first XI after his own injury lay off.

Though unlikely, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could also bin the form book and ring wholesale changes.

An alternative XI could see the Norwegian put his faith in youth in the shape Laird and young goalkeeper Matej Kovar.

United left Manchester airport yesterday and the squad were surprisingly joined by Ed Woodward on the plane.

The Red Devils executive vice chairman was pictured walking into the airport with other stars.

And his decision to fly with the squad has surprised some given his recent claim he “does not want to be famous and can’t be mates with the players”.
