Premier League fantasy football injury update: Game Week 10

Definitely out

Oleksandr Zinchenko

Pep Guardiola revealed the makeshift left-back underwent surgery on his knee and will miss the weekend’s clash with Aston Villa.

Zinchenko had lost his spot in Man City’s starting lineup following the return to fitness of Benjamin Mendy and it now seems the Ukrainian will fall further out of favour.

Andreas Christensen

Christensen continues to work his way back to full fitness after picking up a hamstring injury a couple of weeks ago.

Saturday’s meeting with Burnley will come to soon, but the centre-back could well make a return next weekend as the Blues visit Watford.

Yerry Mina

Mina started the season in impressive fashion but his downturn in form has coincided with a challenging few weeks for Everton.

Things got worse for the Colombian who picked up a knock in last week’s defeat to West Ham and has not trained with the squad all week.

Mina will miss this weekend’s clash with Brighton.

Rodri

Rodri limped off in City’s Champions League win over Atalanta and the extent of the injury is still not fully known.

Guardiola has revealed it could be between ten days and three weeks before the Spaniard makes a return to action.

N’Golo Kante

Frank Lampard has confirmed Kante will miss Saturday’s game against Burnley as he continues his recovery from a groin issue.

The Frenchman picked up the knock while on international duty and has missed the Blues’ last two games as a result.

Aaron Mooy

The Brighton loanee will sit out the game against Everton after he picked up two yellow cards in last week’s defeat to Aston Villa.

Mooy will likely make a return to the squad for next weekend when Graham Potter’s side meet Norwich.

Doubts

Paul Pogba

Pogba missed Sunday’s hard-fought stalemate with Liverpool and also didn’t travel to Partizan on Thursday night as he continues his comeback from an ankle injury.

Barring a late miracle, it’s looking very unlikely that the Frenchman will be included in the Man United squad to face Norwich at Carrow Road this weekend.

Ashley Barnes

The Burnley forward started the season like a house on fire but had lost his goalscoring touch in recent weeks before being struck down by injury.

A groin issue ruled Barnes out of last weekend’s defeat to Leicester, but Sean Dyche has revealed he has a chance of making the squad to face Chelsea on Saturday.
