INCREDIBLE PICTURES have emerged of Christian Pulisic visiting Chelsea as a seven-year-old back in 2006 – 13 years before the Blues made him the most expensive American footballer of all time.

The 58million switch to Stamford Bridge shattered the previous record set by John Brooks’ 15.1million move to Wolfsburg back in 2017.

The 21-year-old made his home debut in the Blues’ 1-1 draw with Leicester back in August.

And while London may be a new home for Pulisic – that draw wasn’t the first time Stamford Bridge has made an impression on him.

In a video posted by The Players’ Tribune, the ex Dortmund star revealed pictures of himself as a wide-eyed youngster in awe, visiting Stamford Bridge for the first time.

Jose Mourinho’s side were well on their way to a second consecutive Premier League title – and a young Pulisic could hardly contain his excitement.

Now a Chelsea star himself, he said: “The craziest thing is I remember going to Chelsea.

“I was very young, I was just going there to train with the youth Chelsea team and I remember being at the training ground, which I then a few weeks ago go back and see.

“I see the same thing and I’m like wow, it’s crazy how full circle it came.”

Pulisic’s visit came on February 17th 2006, with Mourinho’s swaggering side defeating Colchester United in the FA Cup two days later.

At the time, Pulisic’s mother, Kelley, had taken the family to Britain after accepting a one-year teaching exchange.

This ignited Christian’s love for the game, and he even turned out for non-league minnows Brackley town’s under-eights side while in the UK.

He told the Daily Mail back in 2016: “A lot of people don’t realise but it really brought on my passion for the game.

“After school every day, I was just out for hours in the park, playing with my schoolmates.

That’s really where my love for the game started to come alive and that was a big part of my development.

I just started to love it so much and I said: “Wow. I’m pretty good! I think I can do something with this game.”

After returning to the US at the end of his mother’s teaching programme, Pulisic was eventually spotted by Borussia Dortmund in 2015, and never looked back.

After impressing at Signal Iduna Park, Chelsea forked out 58million in January to make the American’s journey truly come full circle.

And he is starting to make an impact for Frank Lampard’s side, picking up a crucial assist for Michy Batshuayi’s late winner against Ajax on Wednesday night.
