ROY KEANE slammed Dele Alli calling him “non-existent” after Tottenham’s defeat at Anfield on Sunday.
Spurs threw away an early lead to lose 2-1 and the famously dour Irishman did not pull any punches in his assessment of the midfielder’s performance.
Fellow pundits Graeme Souness and Jamie Carragher were also disappointed by the Englishman’s showing.
But it was ex-United man Keane who went in the hardest.
Speaking after the game he said: “Very very poor.
“He’s a great example to a lot of footballers out there if you lose your hunger.
“Spurs were carrying three of four players. He’s lost that hunger, today non-existent.”
Second-half goals from Jordan Henderson and Mo Salah cancelled out Harry Kane’s early header to give the League leaders all three points.
And ex-Red Souness was equally damning of 23-year-old Alli’s performance.
He added: “I thought he was going to be a star. I think he’s a classic case of someone who’s in his armchair.
“They gave him a four/five year contract, and look what’s happened.
“He’s taken his eye off the ball but he’s a shadow of himself. Got to learn the game.”
