WILFRIED ZAHA was booked for diving against Arsenal – before VAR overturned the decision and Crystal Palace were awarded a penalty
The Eagles drew 2-2 with the Gunners after VAR controversially denied Sokratis from scoring the winner.
Zaha was the latest forward accused of diving after the incident in the first half at the Emirates.
With Palace two down on the half hour mark, Zaha beat Calum Chambers as he drove into Arsenal’s box.
Chambers, selected over Hector Bellerin to contain the Ivory Coast ace, stuck out his right leg to send the winger over.
After a few seconds of thought, referee Martin Atkinson pulled out a yellow card.
The controversy comes just one day after Callum Hudson-Odoi was booked for simulation during Chelsea’s win over Burnley.
But the yellow card was ruled out after it was checked over by the video assistant referees.
Palace were awarded a penalty and Luka Milivojevic made no mistakes from the spot.
Jordan Ayew scored an equaliser for the Eagles before the game ended 2-2.
