BRITISH golfer Tyrrell Hatton was involved in a brilliant moment at the Italian Open when his fiancee put him off during his backswing.
The 27-year-old was lining up his second shot on the 11th hole when his partner Emily Braisher closed a toilet door on the side of the course.
Hatton immediately stopped halfway through his swing, and couldn’t believe who the culprit was as he turned to the trees.
Thankfully he saw the funny side of the incident as he engaged with his other half.
He said to her: “Is that you? What you doing?”
Turning to to the camera, Hatton joked: “That’s my fiance.”
The commentary team were left in hysterics as the camera panned to his partner exiting the portaloo.
Hatton then jokingly gave Braisher a ticking off, as he told her: “You put me off! You should be ashamed!”
But the incident didn’t put off Hatton as he flushed his approach onto the green.
However he had to settle for a par after his birdie effort just skimmed past the hole.
The 2018 Ryder Cup star goes into the third round at the Italian Open five under-par – four shots behind leader Joachim Hansen.
Hatton was victorious at the Italian Open two years ago – his last win on the European Tour.
