Arsenal dressing-room taking the p*** out of Unai Emery as pressure mounts

ARSENAL players are “taking the p***” out of boss Unai Emery amid fears he could lose the dressing room.

Munitying stars were already divided over his treatment of Mesut Ozil.

Unai Emery is facing a mutiny at Arsenal with players said to be openly “taking the p***” out of the Spaniard’s accent and English

The sidelined German has only played three games this season.

And as the pressure mounts, players have been left baffled by Emery’s tactics and have reportedly been openly mocking him.

The Gunners are on a terrible run, losing 1-0 at Sheffield United and throwing away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Crystal Palace at The Emirates.

They then lost to Liverpool’s kids in the Carabao Cup fourth round in midweek.

Now, Emery is facing a mutiny.

His inability to communicate with the players properly has been at the heart of the spiralling crisis.

His skipper Granit Xhaka has already clashed with fans, telling them to “f*** off”.

He is set to be dropped for today’s clash with Wolves.

There has been question marks over Emery’s handling of this situation.

The Independent claims Arsenal players do impressions of Spaniard Emery, who has been unable to master the English language.

One training ground source claimed stars “mercilessly take the p*** out of him.”

Emery is said to have the backing of the Arsenal board.

But if results continue to spiral you wonder if a change might have to be made.

Arsenal already lost millions when they failed to qualify for the Champions League, something that seemed their right of passage under previous boss Arsene Wenger.

The bizarre system of players voting for the captain, won by Xhaka, stunk of a manager who could not make a decision.

Fans are divided over his treatment of 350,000-a-week midfielder Ozil.

And now Emery faces a conundrum over Xhaka.

He has opted to leave him out but will he demote him as captain permanently.

Even before the Swiss midfielder’s clash with fans he certainly was not a favourite at The Emirates.

Emery won three Europa League titles at Sevilla, before winning the Ligue 1 crown at Paris Saint-Germain.

But pundits wonder if he is now out of his death in the Premier League, having thrown away a top four spot last term from a seemingly impregnable position.

The Spaniard remains steadfast. He said: “We must remember that this year we haven’t lost at home and I think we are feeling strong.

“We are not winning with big results against the opposition but we are winning more than we are not. We drew two matches but we’ve won all other matches.”
