Andrei Arshavins son Arseny starring for Barcelona kids after being named in tribute to ex-Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger

ARSENE WENGER could soon be seeing his name in lights at Barcelona thanks to former Arsenal striker Andrei Arshavin.

The Russian has named his son Arseny in tribute to the legendary Gunners boss, for whom he played almost 150 games between 2009 and 2013.

Arseny is only six years old but is currently making a name for himself at Barcas feeder academy based in Moscow.

And Arshavin Jnr is already on the road to stardom after being named player of the week in a competition at the Russian football factory.

Each youngster at the academy is part of a team named after one of Barcelonas current or ex-players.

And Arshavin Jnr interestingly features for team Messi, after the brilliant Argentinian Lionel.

The legendary forwards own children are being schooled by Barcas academy back in Spain.

While Luis Suarez and Gerard Pique also have children in the system.

Man City flop Robinho has a son in Barcelonas Turkish academy, based in Istanbul.

Arshavin Snr, 38, joined Arsenal after starring for Russia at Euro 2008, scoring 31 goals in 144 games for the Gunners.

And he will be hoping Arseny can do the Arshavin family name, and Wenger, proud.
