Andy Murray offers FREE tickets to Brits to come and watch Davis Cup semi-final in Madrid

Andy Murray is acting as an unofficial ticket tout for the Davis Cup after calling on British fans to attend Saturday’s semi-final.

The British squad beat Germany 2-0 in the quarter-finals and will now face either hosts Spain or wildcards Argentina in the inaugural finals in Madrid.

It is their first time in the semi-finals since 2016 and they have a decent chance of winning this revamped event.

This week Leon Smith’s squad have been cheered on by a passionate following of British supporters, who travel around the world to cheer on the nation.

After the Germany result, Murray was quick to go on social media and asked on Instagram if anybody was nearby whether or not they could come along to what promises to be an epic last-four clash.

Muzza wrote: “Is (sic) there any Brits over in Madrid right now that want to come watch us in the Davis Cup semi-final tomorrow?

“We will try and sort as many tickets as possible for anyone who wants to come support.”

GB skipper Leon Smith said: We are looking into it. I dont know how many Brits are in Madrid there could be a few!

“The atmosphere was very good. The noise felt very good.

“If we do have an allocation which isnt sold out, we would like as many people to come and watch.”
