Arsenal next manager odds: Max Allegri favourite to replace Emery despite reports hes rejected Gunners approach

, Arsenal next manager odds: Max Allegri favourite to replace Emery despite reports hes rejected Gunners approach

MAX ALLEGRI is the new favourite to be the new Arsenal boss after Unai Emery was given the boot.

The Spaniard’s last match saw the Gunners lose 2-1 to Eintracht Frankfurt at the Emirates Stadium in what was their seventh game in a row without a win.

Allegri is tipped to be in the hotseat for the first game of the 2020/21 season

Emery was given the boot after a dismal run of form with Fredrik Ljungberg promoted to interim manager for Arsenal.

The Swede could remain in that position until the end of the season – so who will be in charge come August in 2020?

He is 5/1 to take the job into next year, but is only third on the list with Max Allegri the new hot favourite – despite reports suggesting he has turned down the chance to move to the Emirates.

Wolves boss Espirito Santo drops to second on 5/2 with Ladbrokes.

Mauricio Pochettino, who was recently sacked by Tottenham, is also on the shortlist at 5/1, with Arteta also at that price.

Napoli’s under-pressure boss Carlo Ancelotti is available at 10/1, along with Bournemouth’s Eddie Howe.

Further down the list is Rafael Benitez (12/1) and Patrick Vieira (20/1), who has been in charge of French outfit Nice since 2018.

Arsenal fans at this stage would take almost anyone, with supporters booing their team from the field against the Bundesliga side and others holding up ‘Emery Out’ signs.

One fuming fan tweeted: “Dear @Arsenal, how many retweets to get #EmeryOut by Monday morning?”

Another added: “I’ve seen Arsenal sign Bendtner, Andre Santos, Gervinho, Chamakh, Senderos, Sanogo, Gazidis as chief executive and still the the worst recruitment ever by Arsenal is Unai Emery. #EmeryOut.”

Boos ran out around the Emirates after the final whistle and Emery is now favourite to be the next manager to lose his job in the Premier League – after Everton’s Marco Silva and Manuel Pellegrini of West Ham.
