CHELSEA contract misfit Pedro admits he would love to return to Barcelona, claiming a switch is a concrete “possibility”.
The Spanish forward, 32, looks set to become a free agent at the end of the season as he prepares to enter the final six months of his Stamford Bridge deal.
Pedro has made just four Premier League appearances under new Blues boss Frank Lampard since August.
And despite winning one title, one FA Cup and last seasons Europa League, it appears he will not be receiving a new offer as Chelsea look to put their faith in youth.
Aston Villa have been linked with making a move for Pedro in January.
But the World Cup winner has a grander plan in mind.
Pedro believes there could be an opportunity to return to boyhood club Barcelona, where he won five La Liga titles and three Champions Leagues.
He told SER Catalunya: Its an option thats always there and I hope it could happen.
Everyone knows what I feel for the club and its evident that its a possibility to go back.
Ive always said it. Its a club I have special love for because I support them.
Ive had so many experiences there and was there so many years, I feel loved by the fans.
I dont know if its in the hands of the president, the coach or whoever.
I think for them my return is difficult but its clearly a possibility.
Chelsea are already on the hunt for a replacement and are thought to be exploring an 80million deal for Crystal Palaces Wilfried Zaha.
Borussia Dortmund ace Jadon Sancho, valued at 100m, is another option.
Or the Blues could play it safe and instead re-sign Jeremie Boga from Sassuolo for just 3.5m.
However, veteran Brazilian winger Willian is set to remain at Chelsea after finally opening contract talks with the club.
He confirmed to Yahoo: Ive stated several times my wish is to stay at Chelsea. I like the club very much.
I feel very welcome here, as well as my family, and we love living in London.
However, Im in the middle of the season and I try not to think about it, not to lose focus on the pitch.
My agent and the club are talking and I hope we can have some good news soon.
In transfer windows its normal to have proposals and speculation, especially for players who are at the end of their contract.
But my focus is 100 per cent on Chelsea and the season.
