ANDREAS PEREIRA believes that but for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer he would not be at Manchester United.

The Brazilian, 23, has been at Old Trafford for almost seven years after joining the academy from PSV Eindhoven. Yet until this season he has been a bitpart player.

Now he is 20 games into Uniteds season of change and so much has changed for him.

He said of Solskjaer: He has been massive for me.

If he had not been at the club I might not have been at the club as well.

He said I would get more opportunities with him. He said if I get better then I will play more and more and thats what has happened.

He has just given me belief. He believes in my potential and knows there is more to come. In every game I am reaching my goals. Im happy.

Pereira has revealed how United stars made the collective decision to back Solskjaer.

For a long time the atmosphere in the Old Trafford dressing room was toxic, with rival factions at each others throats.

Before he left, Solskjaers predecessor Jose Mourinho deemed Paul Pogba a virus.

And Norwegian Solskjaer admits he did not walk into a great place when he took over a year ago.

But midfielder Pereira said: We put our heads together and decided to stick together.

This manager is good for us, we all know it and we are giving our lives for him. The team has been doing very well. It is mentally much stronger.

We are getting better in each game. We didnt start the season as well as we would have liked.

The manager has brought back belief and he has brought back an edge.
