Man Utd outcasts Matic and Rojo transfer listed and allowed to leave in January as Solskjaer plots Haaland move

NEMANJA MATIC and Marcos Rojo are being put up for sale by Manchester United.

According to reports, the pair are unwanted by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who is ready to let them both leave after a lack of game time this season.

The transfer window reopens in a week’s time and the experienced pair should attract interest.

According to the Times, Rojo, 29, is on 160,000 a week at Old Trafford, while Matic, 31, is paid around 120,000 a week.

The Argentina international last played in the closing moments of United’s 3-1 home win against Brighton in November and has been nursing an injury since.

Matic, meanwhile, has also suffered injuries this season, and has been restricted to cup games under Solskjaer.

The Serbian was signed by Jose Mourinho in 2017, but just over two years later he is no longer part of the United first team.

United are trying to freshen up their squad while reducing the average age with young promising players.

Solskjaer wants to sign 76million-rated RB Salzburg starlet Erling Haaland, who he worked with at Molde and knows well.

Haaland will boost his weekly wages ten-fold if he joins United, with 200,000-a-week on the table at Old Trafford.

United have also been linked with a megabucks move for Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho, who is rated at 100m.

But midfield is still an area of concern, with question marks over Paul Pogba’s future, while there has been a lack of creativity from their other stars in the middle of the park.
