Chelsea starlet Marc Guehi completes Swansea loan transfer until end of season

CHELSEA youngster Marc Guehi has completed a loan move to Swansea for the rest of the season.

The talented centre-back, 19, made two appearances during Frank Lampard’s first six months in the Stamford Bridge dug-out.

Chelsea youngster Marc Guehi has joined Swansea on loan until the end of the season

Guehi starred in the 7-1 thrashing of Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup before playing the entirety of the fourth-round defeat to Manchester United.

He has been tipped to reach the very top after holding his own alongside Kurt Zouma in both matches.

And it led to reports that Norwich and Southampton were both looking at him this month.

However as SunSport revealed earlier this week, Guehi will instead continue his development until the summer under the eye of Steve Cooper in Wales.

The pair know each other well, with Cooper making Guehi his England captain at the Under-17 Euros in 2017 before they won the U-17 World Cup months later.

Guehi has been at Chelsea since he was eight years old and helped the clubs U-18s win SEVEN trophies between 2017 and 2018.

He has captained Chelseas development team this term, helping them go unbeaten in the league.

And Blues fans will be keeping an eye on Swanseas promotion challenge as Guehi looks to further impress.

The defender could even be thrust into the starting XI for the weekend derby against Cardiff City.

And joining him at Swansea is former Chelsea teammate Rhian Brewster, who recently joined on loan from Liverpool.

Meanwhile, the Blues have confirmed that Luke McCormick has returned from a loan spell at League One side Shrewsbury Town.
