MANCHESTER UNITED target Lautaro Martinez has sparked rumours he could be on the verge of a Premier League move after arriving in London TODAY with his Wag Agus Gandolfo.
And the Inter Milan star’s apparant visit to the capital is particularly confusing given many expect him to be leading the attack for the Serie A giants at Lecce TOMORROW.
Argentinian model Gandolfo, 23, shared the pair’s trip to England on her Instagram account, firstly posting a snap looking out on an airport runway followed by an image of the plane’s wing while in flight asking for followers to “Guess where?”
Her Insta story then cuts to her wrapped up in a fur coat in the backseat of a cab before she spins the camera to show her free-scoring fella sat up front with the location set as London.
United have made the striker one of their top targets following his stunning season at Inter.
And rivals Man City have also identified the 22-year-old hitman as the ideal long-term replacement for Sergio Aguero.
But both could be usurped after Real Madrid and Barcelona joined the race for the South American.
Martinez has bagged an impressive 15 goals and provided three assists in his 24 appearances for Antonio Conte’s side this season.
However, the club’s supporters will no doubt be confused as to why he appears to be in London just hours before a big match.
The Nerazzurri are looking to continue their title charge away to Lecce at 2pm on Sunday.
Inter are currently second in the top-flight and are just two points behind leaders Juventus.
Despite continuous links with a move away, Martinez has attempted to play down speculation on his future recently after being quizzed on Barcelona’s interest.
He said: “I’m calm, I’m an Inter player and I’m happy here.
“The fact that they speak well of me means that I’m doing something right and the intention is to continue on this path.
“I’m calm, happy and at ease with Inter.”
