Paul Webber hopes the Festival Dream still alive after Trials Day as House Island heads to Prestbury Park

PAUL Webber is out to take on the big guns with exciting novice House Island.

Cheltenham is next for his six-year-old and he hopes the Festival dream is still alive after the Grade 2 Ballymore Trial on Saturday.

Paul Webber’s House Island is an 8-1 shot for the Ballymore Trial at Cheltenham

Webber told Sun Racing: We want to see how he handles that track, its trials day after all.

He can race a bit lazily like he did at Sandown and needs to learn to sharpen up a little bit if hes going to cope with a Festival race.

Hes a big horse and will make a chaser so this isnt his biggest year but its nice to have a good one we can have a go with.

House Island was runner-up to Enrilo in Sandowns Grade 2 Ballymore Hurdle last time and is the second top-rated in Saturdays race.

The Banbury handler added: Hell go there with a chance. It was a great run at Sandown.

The Nicholls horse didnt run to his best after but weve kept this fellow back to make sure hes fresh for this.

He doesnt do an awful lot until hes really asked but just seems to keep improving.

We havent got so many horses these days but were hoping weve got a better class now.

We need to win a few of these big Saturday races to help fill those boxes again!
