Daniil Medvedev suffered a nasty nosebleed during his Australian Open second-round victory.
The Russian, considered one of the dark horses to win the singles title, cruised into the third round with a 7-5 6-1 6-3 win over Spaniard Pedro Martinez.
However, his match on the Margaret Court Arena was overshadowed by the medical timeout he needed late in the second set.
The contest had to be delayed as the trainer came on court to help him with a nosebleed while leading 5-0 and a set up.
The white Aussie Open towels were covered with blood as he tried to stem the bleeding.
Thankfully for him, the incident did not put him off his stride and he progressed after just two hours of action.
The No.4 seed will now face either Spains Jaume Munar or Australian Alexei Popyrin.
The 23-year-old is part of the Next Generation of tennis star aiming to end the dominance of Roger Federer, Rafa Nadal and Novak Djokovic.
He lost 75 63 57 46 64 to Nadal in the US Open last September in his maiden Grand Slam final appearance.
