Chelsea and Man City offered 44m Isco transfer with Real Madrid keen to sign Christian Eriksen

CHELSEA and Manchester City have been given the chance to sign Isco for 44million, according to reports.

The Real Madrid star is being targeted as a potential sale, to pave the way for Los Blancos to sign Tottenhams Christian Eriksen.

Isco could be heading to Chelsea or Manchester City, with Real Madrid reportedly ready to offload the attacking midfielder

According to the Mirror, the Blues are more keen on signing Borussia Dortmunds Jadon Sancho, but not for their quoted 120m fee.

Eriksen, 27, revealed his desire to leave North London after they reached the Champions League final in the summer.

He is free to talk to new clubs in a weeks time, because his contract expires at the end of June.

Eriksen has scored 66 goals for Spurs and set up countless others since arriving from Ajax at the start of the 2013-14 season, but hasn’t started a Prem game since November 3.

Frank Lampard is more keen on signing a striker but a man to run between the lines would fit well into his team.

With David Silvas future currently in question at Manchester City, Isco would be seen as a perfect cog for Pep Guardiolas attacking machine.

Either way, Isco and Eriksen would be the latest pawns in an epic European transfer merry-go-round, and could spice up the January transfer window.

Ironically, Jose Mourinho was keen on signing Eriksen at Manchester United, as does Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

But a deal was seen as a non-starter because Spurs have been reluctant to deal with United since Sir Alex Ferguson signed Dimitar Berbatov in 2008.

Real Madrid appears the most likely destination for Eriksen, with Los Blancos in the midst of an evolution themselves, after losing Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer of 2018.
