Floyd Mayweather has dubbed his clash with Logan Paul a ‘legalised bank robbery’

Social media star Paul goes into his clash with the former five-weight world champion without a single win as a professional boxer.

And the ever-confident Mayweather believes the fight will be like taking candy from a baby.

During the ‘Inside Mayweather vs. Paul’ hype show: “My nickname is Money for a reason.

“I worked extremely hard for years and years to get to a certain level. A level where we can start calling everything an event.

“I believe in working smarter, not harder.

“So if it’s something easy like [the Paul fight], a legalized bank robbery, I gotta do it. I have to do it.”

It’s understood Mayweather – who retired from boxing after beating UFC superstar Conor McGregor in August 2017 – is set to pocket close to £70million ($100m) for his clash with Paul.

Despite being a huge underdog, Paul – whose pro record stands at 0-1 – is confident of pulling off the biggest upset in boxing history.

He said: “I’m going to knock him out and become the greatest boxer on the planet.

“Then I’m going to retire and not give Floyd the rematch. He doesn’t know who he’s getting in the ring with.

“He really thinks I’m a YouTuber. He really thinks I’m a fake fighter. I get it.

Logan Paul is adamant he’ll shock the world and beat Floyd Mayweather

“Everything that I’ve portrayed online says the same thing. But we’re really about this life now. Floyd underestimating me is going to hurt him, I think.”

Although Paul fancies his chances of handing Mayweather his first loss in over 25 years, the 26-year-old is in the dark over the rules for their exhibition.

During an appearance on the True Geordie Podcast, he said: “I don’t know how this is possible but I do not know.

“I’m hearing 10oz, 12oz [gloves]. I’m hearing eight rounds, I’m hearing three minutes, I’m hearing two minutes, I don’t f***ing know.”

The Maverick added: “We did a legit proper camp.

“We’re doing hard sparring rounds, 10-12 rounds, three different guys, we’re ready.”
