Watch ex-Chelsea star Olivier Giroud score just FOUR MINUTES into his AC Milan debut during Nice friendly

OLIVIER GIROUD took just four minutes to open his account on his AC Milan debut.

The French striker came off the bench against Nice just after the hour mark in their pre-season friendly.

Olivier Giroud thundered in a powerful header as AC Milan drew with Nice

And by the 66th minute, he had equalised for the Rossoneri in trademark fashion.

Samu Castillejo whipped in a teasing outswinging free-kick from the left.

And Giroud rose high above his marker to thump in a header at the back post.

It proved to be Milan’s only shot on target in the game as they salvaged a 1-1 draw at Nice’s Allianz Riviera.

The Ligue 1 side had taken the lead in the 59th minute from Amine Gouiri’s penalty.

Giroud – the new No9 at the San Siro – also enjoyed some fine link-up play as he got used to playing alongside his new team-mates.

The forward, 34, joined from Chelsea this summer.

The Italian giants stumped up an initial £850,000 transfer fee for the Champions League winner.

He signed a two-year contract worth £50,000 per week.

Upon the switch, Giroud tweeted: “To all the Blues, to my team-mates, to all my coaches, to the whole club, a huge thank you for these special moments.

“I’m starting a new journey with a light and happy heart. Our victories in the FA Cup, Europa League and Champions league have been magnificent. Love Oli G.”

AC Milan have friendlies against Valencia, Real Madrid and Panathinaikos before starting their Serie A campaign at Sampdoria on August 23.
