Piers Morgan hilariously makes peace with Arsenal star Aaron Ramsdale after keeper called him ‘absolute w***er’

PIERS MORGAN made peace with Arsenal star Aaron Ramsdale on Sunday after the goalkeeper previously called him an ‘absolute w*****’.

The TV presenter posted a hilarious tweet after the Gunners stopper shone during his side’s North London derby win over Tottenham at the Emirates.

But the 56-year-old managed to see the funny side after Ramsdale helped Morgan’s beloved Arsenal beat bitter rivals Tottenham

Morgan, 56, uploaded a screen shot of Ramsdale’s 2014 tweet alongside a photo of them laughing together after Sunday’s win.

And he wrote: “How it started vs how it’s going…”

Ramsdale was 15 at the time of his abusive tweet and still with Sheffield United’s youth academy.

But Morgan managed to see the funny side after his beloved Arsenal beat their bitter rivals 3-1 with the help of the former Bournemouth man.

Fans online were loving the interaction.

Slim joked: “You’ve gone to make peace? Thought you didn’t want him at Arsenal?”

Ramsdale was given an 8/10 for his showing in the North London derby

Mark quipped: “Looks like he has won a competition to meet you.”

And Red_MUFC tweeted: “From crying when you signed him to kissing him when you meet him after a win. Fickle fan.”

Ramsdale was given an 8/10 by SunSport’s reporter at the Emirates.

He made a great save at his near post from Son Heung-min’s 21st minute effort to keep Arsenal 1-0 up.

Granit Xhaka saved his skin soon after when his dodgy pass was rescued by the Swiss who sprung the counter-attack which led to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s goal.

He got down well to deny Harry Kane on the hour mark – though it may have been going wide.

And though he couldn’t do much for Son’s consolation goal, Ramsdale made a phenomenal save in the dying moments to keep it at 3-1.

He tipped a goal-bound effort onto the crossbar and his team saw the game out and secured the win.

And Mark joked: “After that save onto the crossbar, I’d take being called an absolute w***** any day.”
