Cheltenham Festival ante post: Back Templegate’s BOOSTED Gold Cup and Stayers’ Hurdle double at 40-1 with Paddy Power

TEMPLEGATE loves the look of this monster ante post double for the Cheltenham Festival.

For months Sun Racing’s top tipster has been following the form and narrowing down his selections.

Templegate says this proven Cheltenham Festival winner can do it again in 2022 as part of a boosted 40-1 double

And he has picked out a brilliant Gold Cup and Stayers’ Hurdle double just for you.

The best news is you can back it now at a boosted 40-1 – instead of 33-1 – with Paddy Power.

Templegate says…

THYME HILL (Stayers’ Hurdle)

The arrival of Champ on the scene has seen Philip Hobbs’ star lengthen in the Stayers’ Hurdle betting to 7-1.

Nicky Henderson’s runner got the better of him in the Long Walk at Ascot a week before Christmas but there’s every chance he’ll go back over fences for the Gold Cup at the Festival.

Thyme Hill is two years younger than Champ and was less than two lengths behind him at Ascot in second.

That was his first British run of the season after a rusty effort in France and his good record of hitting the frame on all three starts at Cheltenham is another plus.

A PLUS TARD (Cheltenham Gold Cup)

I’m keeping faith in the Henry De Bromhead runner despite his defeat to Galvin in the Savills Chase at Leopardstown at Christmas.

There was a short-head in it at the line and the performance was on a par with his win in the race last season.

Given De Bromhead’s horses have not been flying, it was a decent performance and the focus of the yard is clearly on March.

He can go better than last year’s second in the big one.
