How Arsenal could line up next season after major attacking transfer overhaul with Gnabry and Felix adding firepower

ARSENAL are once again preparing to splash the cash in the summer as Mikel Arteta continues his overhaul of the team.

The Gunners were Europe’s biggest spenders last year having forked out around £150million on six players.

Here is how Arsenal could start next season if they sign all their top targets

Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale was brought in along with defenders Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Nuno Tavares and midfielders Martin Odegaard and Albert Sambi Lokonga.

And SunSport exclusively revealed in February how the North London outfit were once again prepared to go big in the upcoming transfer window.

With Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang allowed to join Barcelona in January, and strikers Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are set to depart on free transfers, Arteta‘s focus is on bolstering his attack.

Atletico Madrid centre-forward Joao Felix has emerged as a shock target, though he could cost the club a whopping £120m.

Everton ace Dominic Calvert-Lewin has also been linked with a switch to the Emirates where he would cost around half of that fee.

Arsenal have also emerged as a potential destination for Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnabry, who is yet to agree terms over a new deal in Bavaria.

The 26-year-old star came through the ranks at Arsenal, and has made no secret in the past of his love for his former employers.

SunSport understands that Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves is a key target, where he could potentially replace Granit Xhaka should the Swiss star join Roma.

And the club are also reportedly keeping tabs on Lyon’s Lucas Paqueta as another option.

Here SunSport takes a look at how the Gunners could line-up next season should they land their top targets if they secure a top four finish.

Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale will certainly keep his place between the sticks having established himself as the No1 after three Premier League games.

And Arteta’s preferred back four is unlikely to change, with Tomiyasu slotting in at right-back and Kieran Tierney starting on the opposite side.

Ben White will partner Gabriel in the heart of defence, though William Saliba is expected to challenge for a starting spot once he returns from his Marseille loan spell.

Should Neves be brought in, he will likely play alongside Thomas Partey in the middle of the pitch, with Martin Odegaard to play in a more advanced role.

Bukayo Saka would keep his place on the right wing, with Gnabry to be deployed on the opposite flank should he arrive, which would see Gabriel Martinelli drop to the bench.

And Felix would then be tasked with leading the line should Arsenal manage to secure his services in what would be a club-record transfer.
