LIVERPOOL star Thiago Alcantara was hilariously left stunned that Andy Robertson was named Man of the Match in last night’s win over Arsenal.
The duo both shone as Jurgen Klopp’s side closed the gap on Premier League leaders Manchester City to a point.

The hilarious moment happened when as they were interviewed on Sky Sports
Thiago got the assist for Diogo Jota’s opener before Robertson set-up Roberto Firmino to seal Liverpool’s 2-0 win at Arsenal.
However, the midfielder was also fortunate that he did not cost his side before their breakthrough.
Thiago was caught out when playing a ball back to goalkeeper Alisson.
Gunners star Alexandre Lacazette latched on to that pass, but Liverpool’s stopper saved the day and his team-mate’s blushes with a brilliant save to deny the Gunners.

Despite that hiccup, the Reds went on to win and afterwards it was the Scottish full-back Robertson that was recognised as the game’s top performer.
The pair both spoke to Sky Sports afterwards, when the interviewer said to Thiago: “It was an interesting few minutes for you wasn’t it at the start of the second half.
“You almost gave them a goal. Alisson made a great save and then you created the opening goal yourself.”
And that led to the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich star deciding to poke fun at himself and wind up Robertson in his response.

Thiago said: “Yeah, that’s why I don’t understand why Robbo got Man of the Match.
“I gave two assists and he gave just one, so… No just kidding!”
Robertson saw the funny side, but he soon got down to business when discussing the title race with City.
He said: “I would still rather be in Man City’s position. They are a point ahead.
“They are a fantastic team, one of the best in the world. Then it’s a sprint to the finish line.
“We’re in the race so we need to focus on what we’re doing. We still have to go to their place.”
