The man he will be fighting is social media influencer Adam Saleh, who has boxed before.

Here SunSport runs down how the two compare.

Evra, 40, is considered one of the greatest defenders of the modern era, who retired in 2019.

He has since spent his days learning the trade as a coach with United’s academy while providing some punditry.

Saleh meanwhile is occupied as a content creator, posting vlogs and online skits.

But the American has boxed before as an amateur, revealing to SunSport that he had a record of 14-0.

He also claimed to fight in street boxing matches at the same time, with one viral video costing him his amateur license.

Saleh then instead focussed on becoming a YouTuber, but following the rise of celebrity boxing, he found himself fighting again.

The 28-year-old has had three bouts, firstly beating unlicensed boxing journeyman Marcus Stephenson in 2019.

He also won against prankster Anas ElShayib and then drew with TikToker Walid Sharks.

Saleh stands only 5ft 6in tall, compared to 5ft 9in Evra, who is also likely to weigh more.

But despite the physical disadvantages he has far more boxing experience than the retired footballer.

Jake Paul’s brutal knockout of ex-NBA point guard Nate Robinson in 2020 is evidence that being a high-level athlete can count for little in the ring.

Evra is also the far more famous of the two, with 9.3million Instagram followers compared to Saleh’s 1.5m.

And following a successful career and according to Celebrity Net Worth, the Frenchman is said to be valued at £7.9m.

Saleh on the other hand is worth roughly £2.2m, online reports claim.

Information of their bout, such as weight and rounds are yet to be revealed.
