And he tried to call fellow Brit Anthony Joshua during his celebrations

During the raucous celebrations, the Gypsy King had a brief FaceTime with Whyte’s promoter Eddie Hearn.

And Hearn has since revealed Fury also tried to get a hold of former unified heavyweight champ Joshua.

During an appearance on the DAZN Boxing Show, he said: “He FaceTimed me non-stop but I couldn’t really hear him because he was drinking and I was in a restaurant

“I just said well done, I think he was trying to call AJ and he was asking me for his number.

“He was harassing everyone and having a few drinks to celebrate.”

Fury, 33, is no stranger to trying to get his British rival on the phone.

In fact, he once regularly rang the Watford warrior to tell him he was going to knock him out.

In a 2019 interview with Behind the Gloves, AJ said of Fury: “He’s an interesting character.

“Tyson will call me randomly on the phone and he will be like, ‘Have a little laugh and I will have a little laugh’.

“Then I will say I’m going to knock you out, then he will say ‘shut up I’ll knock you out.”

“That’s just me and Tyson, through and through the respect’s there but we’re fighting men.”

When asked if he and Fury were pals, Joshua replied: “Not friends, not friends, not friends but there’s a mutual respect there, I respect the man, he’s done his thing.”

Fury’s future in the sport is currently up in the air as he teased retirement just moments after his sixth-round stoppage of Whyte.
