When will Leeds vs Fulham be played, and when is the Championship scheduled to return?

LEEDS and Fulham will have to wait for their top-of-the-table Championship showdown.

The Whites are on course for a return to the Premier League for the first time since 2004 and saw off local rivals Huddersfield 2-0 in their last game.

Kalvin Phillips has been in superb form for Leeds this season

Fulham were relegated from the top-flight last season but after retaining a number of key players currently sit third in the table.

When was Leeds vs Fulham scheduled for?

MARCELO BIELSA’s side are top of the pile after five consecutive league wins.

That puts them seven points clear of Fulham, who look the most likely to chase down either the hosts or West Brom and steal an automatic place.

This game was originally set for Wednesday, March 18.

Kick-off at Elland Road was due at 7.45pm.

But with the coronavirus outbreak decimating the sporting calendar, it was postponed along with all other EFL fixtures.

When is the Championship expected to return?

CURRENTLY, the EFL and Premier League are suspended.

April 3 is the tentative date pencilled in for a return to action – but that is subject to change considering how fast the coronavirus outbreak is moving.

An EFL statement read: “The FA, Premier League, EFL and Barclays FA Women’s Super League and FA Women’s Championship have collectively agreed to postpone the professional game in England until 3 April at the earliest.

“This action, which will be kept under constant review, has been taken due to the increasing numbers of Clubs taking steps to isolate their players and staff because of the Covid-19 virus.

“The postponements include all matches in the Championship, League One and League Two, as well as all Academy and youth team fixtures.

“In addition, Clubs are being advised to suspend indefinitely all non-essential activities which include, but are not limited to, player appearances, training ground visits and fan meetings.
