Paul brokered the blockbuster bout on behalf of Serrano with Taylor’s promoter Hearn.

And the YouTube star-turned boxer proposed a $1m wager on the result.

Hearn said: “Maybe we can talk about a million.”

Paul, who said he would give his potential winnings to Serrano, replied: “Let’s do a million. I bet Amanda wins for $1million.”

Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano CONFRMED ring-walk time: What
time is it?

It took a while to commit, but Hearn eventually accepted and shook on the deal.

Paul last year made a bet with Tyron Woodley, 40, that would see the loser of their bout get the winner’s name tattooed on them.

Woodley, who was beaten on points, eventually did get the American’s name inked on his finger.

Paul would go on to win their rematch by knockout but has not returned since.

He has instead focussed on promoting Serrano’s fight with Taylor and spoke to SunSport ahead of their Madison Square Garden headliner.

Paul said: “You feel it in the air and in the atmosphere here, it’s just electric. It’s really something special.

“The amount of media here, it’s pretty crazy. It’s really bigger than any fight that I’ve ever seen.

“It’s cool to see that and these two both look ready for war.

“So it’s going to be awesome once that first bell ring and we finally get to see the two pound-for-pound best going at it.”
