Kai, 12, is looking to become the next Rooney to make it big in professional football.

And he is on the right tracks after an incredible campaign playing for United’s academy.

Dad Wayne was known for his goal-scoring and creative skills on the pitch.

But even he would be jealous of Kai’s productive season.

The youngster scored a mind-boggling 56 goals for United’s kids.

And he also bagged a further 28 assists, making him the complete No10.

However, Kai still has some way to go to match his dad’s United record.

Rooney netted 253 goals in 559 games for the Red Devils during a 13-year spell.

And the former England captain won numerous trophies including five Premier League titles and the 2008 Champions League.

Kai isn’t the only son of a Man Utd legend playing for the club’s academy.

That’s because one of his teammates is the son of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Kai and Ronaldo Jr were both on the scoresheet during March’s win against West Brom.

And Ronnie’s kid has also shown he can hit a freekick just like his old man.
