Watch Liverpool star Oxlade-Chamberlains stunning chip vs Genk that leaves ex-Man Utd striker Van Persie amazed

LIVERPOOL star Alexander Oxlade-Chamberlain’s stunning chip left former Manchester United and Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie totally amazed.

Oxlade-Chamberlain’s second goal in the 4-1 Champions League win in Genk was a piece of sublime technique.

The Belgian side were only a goal down and had looked threatening when the Ox launched his masterpiece on 57 minutes.

Played in by Roberto Firmino, he somehow rasped the ball with the outside of his right foot to curl a stunning shot into the roof of the net, bamboozling Genk keeper Gaeten Coucke.

Champions League Table

Van Persie told BT Sport: “The second, third and fourth goals were all amazing, especially the second. It’s so beautiful.

“Most strikers don’t imagine it, eight out of 10 don’t even think about it, two who actually think about it, one of the two can’t even do it. The way he executed that goal is so beautiful.

“I’m so happy for him, I used to play with him at Arsenal, I saw that ability.

“He has potential to be a top player, if he can do those type of goals he can become that type of player.

“That goal is like one you will score once in your life.”

Further exceptional strikes from Sadio Mane and Mo Salah wrapped up a convincing win for the Reds.

It pleased boss Jurgen Klopp but he still wants more.

He said: “It was absolutely a great moment for him, but I would say with Ox his performance was exactly the same as the performance of the team the goals were great but all the rest could have been better.”
