Arsenal outcast Nicolas Pepe wanted by Sevilla but would need Gunners to take £57MILLION less than they paid for winger

SEVILLA are interested in signing Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe, according to reports.

The Ivorian cost the Gunners £72million in 2019, but has slipped down the pecking order at the Emirates.

Nicolas Pepe has recently been in pre-season action with Arsenal

With Pepe now behind the likes of Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe, Gabriel Martinelli and Fabio Vieira, Arsenal are keen to sell him this summer.

Club chiefs know that they won’t get anywhere near the £72m they paid for him and are hoping for offers around £21m.

According to local paper Diario de Sevilla, Pepe is of interest to Sevilla… but not at that price.

They claim that the LaLiga side have made initial contact with Arsenal over a deal worth around £15m plus add-ons.

Sevilla would reportedly also need Pepe to take a reduction on his £100,000 a week salary.

The 27-year-old remains under contract at Arsenal for another two years.

Boss Julen Lopetegui may need to flog a winger to make room for Pepe.

Sevilla face a fight with a number of other interested parties.

Leeds are intrigued by Pepe as a potential Raphinha replacement, after the Brazilian left Elland Road for Barcelona.

While Marseille and Lyon could offer the former Lille star a route back to Ligue 1.

Pepe hasn’t been frozen out at Arsenal and has featured in pre-season friendlies against Nurnberg and Everton.

But he is one of a number of players including Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Hector Bellerin that are surplus to requirements.

Pepe has made 112 appearances for Arsenal, scoring 27 goals and laying on 21 assists.
