The home crowd mocked Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford

Pickford used to play for Newcastle’s bitter rivals Sunderland

Pickford came through the ranks at Sunderland’s academy before moving to Everton back in 2017 for £30million.

But the Newcastle faithful have not forgotten where Pickford came from.

They brutally took inflatable dinosaurs to last night’s clash with the Toffees to mock Pickford.

Last season one Toon fan wore a full length T-Rex costume at a match with Everton in a savage dig at Pickford.

SunSport exclusively revealed earlier this year that pub revellers mocked that the England stopper had short “T-Rex arms”.

Police were called after Pickford’s pals were left furious and a brawl broke out at a South Tyneside pub.

And now Pickford has been targeted once again.

It was a night to forget for the Everton goalie, as his return to the North East ended in a 1-0 defeat.

Pickford was beaten by a long-range Miguel Almiron stunner in the first half that he could have done little about.

The 28-year-old is set to start between the sticks for the Three Lions at the World Cup.

Pickford is Gareth Southgate’s first-choice goalie, and is likely to be given the nod for the first group game against Iran on November 21st.
