Horse racing punter makes more in an hour than Cristiano Ronaldo does at Al-Nassr after monster five-fold comes in

A HORSE racing punter earned more in one hour than Cristiano Ronaldo makes at Al-Nassr after a monster five-fold came in.

The Betfair customer was a whopping £31,627 better off following a freak 70 minutes of results.

The punter’s whopping £31,627 winnings made in just one hour and ten minutes was more than what Ronaldo makes over the same period of time at Al-Nassr

The gargantuan win meant the mystery bettor could cheekily lay claim to being the highest-earning sportsperson in the world – for that hour at least!

Ronaldo pockets £19,982-per-hour at the Saudi club after agreeing a record-breaking deal following his departure from Manchester United.

But the bettor was celebrating a £30,000 cracker on Saturday – thanks to two outsiders.

They stuck a £12.50 each-way acca – £25 total stake – on five selections from Kempton, Wetherby and Warwick.

It got off to a good start when Paul Nicholls’ Pic D’Orhy landed the big race at Kempton at 2.05pm.

The second leg came good when 13-8 fav Iroko was a 14-length winner of the 2.32 at Wetherby.

But eight minutes later the bet kicked into overdrive when West Balboa was successful at Kempton at 12-1.

Welsh Grand National hero Iwilldoit for trainer Sam Thomas scooped the big Classic Chase at Warwick at 3pm.

The horse defied a 383-day absence and 12-1 odds with ease for his Welsh trainer.

That meant it was all down to Nicky Henderson’s Quick Draw in the 3.15 at Kempton to land the pot.

Nico de Boinville barely broke sweat on the 5-4 fav, easing him down towards the post to win by seven-and-a-half lengths.

Betfair spokesman, Barry Orr, commented: “It was a whirlwind hour and ten minutes for the customer.

“To pick a couple of 12-1 winners with three short-priced winning favs was inspired work. Well done to him.”

Bookies have taken a bashing in recent days with some other big wins.

Although as both prove, it could have been a whole lot worse.

Another Betfair punter won more than £40,000 – then saw their ‘loose change’ £3.21 acca that paid £270,000 lose on the final selection.

Similarly, one Paddy Power punter spared them £90,000 after cashing out early.

But it wasn’t all bad as they still won £28,000 from £3.
