NICO ROSBERG believes things could get “even worse” for Lewis Hamilton after the surprise split with his long-time performance coach Angela Cullen.
Seven-time Formula One world champ Hamilton, 38, posted the shock news before last week’s Saudi Arabia Grand Prix where he paid tribute to the 48-year-old who has been by his side for the past seven years.

He split with performance coach Angela Cullen long last week
Cullen, who is from New Zealand and was a professional hockey player before working for Hintsa Performance, set-up by the late Dr Aki Hintsa, worked with Hamilton at McLaren.
She worked with Hamilton over the race weekend and between races, looking after his meal preparations and arranging the logistics in getting to and from the circuit.
Her departure was unexpected and will cast questions about Hamilton’s future in the sport, especially after his latest disappointing fifth place finish on Sunday in Saudi.
He has finished fifth in both races this campaign to follow on from last season’s woes and his former Mercedes team-mate Rosberg believes no longer working with Cullen could make “things even worse” for the Brit.
The 2016 F1 champ told Sky Sports F1: “I think that probably makes things even worse because even though the split apparently was amicable, you know, Angela was a real friend I think also to him.
“And it’s with your trainer that [you spend] most of the time during a race weekend. You end up also going to dinner in a very small, tight group with maybe a family member and a trainer and that’s it – and for Lewis not to have her as well, I’m sure it’s going to be not ideal, not so nice.
“I think probably that’s another challenge and difficulty that he has to deal with and get used to.”
Following last week’s announcement, Cullen posted her response on Instagram, saying: “Exactly seven years ago on this day I was standing in the F1 paddock for the first time at the Australian GP. Today I’m excited to share that I’m off on my next adventure.
