Epsom Oaks odds

The bookies are just working out their liabilities after the runners were confirmed.

Savethelastdance has long been the ante-post favourite after her amazing 22-length Chester romp.

She led the way at around 5-4 with Soul Sister 11-4 after her Musidora romp.

Running Lion made up the last leg of the big three dominating the market at around 5-1.

Templegate’s tip

Templegate will bring you his big tip for the Oaks later on on Thursday, now the declarations are in.

Epsom Oaks prediction

Is it written in the stars for Frankie?

In his final ever Oaks – a race he has won four times – Dettori looks to have a good draw in stall 10.

It has generally been thought the lower numbers were a disadvantage.

However that has changed somewhat in recent years so market leader Savethelastdance might not be so inconvenienced in stall four.

Rob Hornby looks to have a heck of a job from stall one with Sea Of Roses, though.

Soul Sister was breathtaking winning last time out at York on ground that won’t be too dissimilar to what they have at Epsom.

Savethelastdance’s win at Chester, as good as it was, came in a bog.

They say good horses run on anything but already the 2000 Guineas form behind Chaldean, run on soft, hasn’t looked up to much.
