CHELSEA legend John Terry has revealed former Blues captain Dennis Wise once grabbed him round the throat after he bought a new car.
The Leicester City assistant manager, who is currently reeling from relegation, spent over 20 years at Stamford Bridge after coming through the youth ranks to become a Premier League-winning skipper.

But he has admitted to being taught a harsh lesson by the man who previously wore the armband for splashing out on a new motor after receiving a Champions League appearance bonus as a youngster.
Wise, a founder member of Wimbledon’s Crazy Gang, was furious and confronted the then teenage Terry in front of the Chelsea squad to demand he take the car back.
JT lost money on the vehicle but says the incident was a crucial learning curve.
Terry told The Footballers Guide to Football podcast: “He was club captain at the time.
“I remember I was in the first team and got a Champions League bonus and I went out and stupidly bought a car with the bonus I was on.
“I was 19 at the time. I come in with my car and Wisey got me up round the throat in the corridor in front of everyone: ‘Who do you think you are? Go and take the car back.’
“So he made me go and take the car back, which I lost money on, took me around and helped me find a house, buy a house, so it was the best bit of advice.
“I was embarrassed at the time but it was the best bit of advice that I could have had. So I’m really grateful for all those little bits along the way, guiding the younger players, and he always not only had his eye on the first team but had an interest in the younger boys.”

Terry would later go on to wear the captain’s armband for over a decade to lead Chelsea to a host of honours.
But he feels young players nowadays do not go through the same process as he did – causing a divide between senior stars and the up-and-coming aces.
Terry added: “I do, personally (think today’s young players miss out).
“I think it’s little things like that. Every first team player knew the YTS’ names.
“Nowadays, I think the YTS boys can come and train with you – or the younger ones – and the first team lads wouldn’t know who they were.”
