Arsenal star Alexandre Lacazette wanted in transfer by Juventus, Inter Milan and Atletico with contract running down

ARSENAL striker Alexandre Lacazette could reportedly be on his way out of the club this summer with three European heavyweights interested.

Juventus, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid are all interested in signing the 29-year-old, according to L’Equipe.

Alexandre Lacazette could be on his way out of Arsenal this summer

Lacazette has endured a tough season that has culminated in him losing his place in the team on Project Restart to rookie Eddie Nketiah.

The French striker has netted 10 goals in 32 games this season, but he will do well to hit the 19 he bagged last campaign.

Despite his struggles however, Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is keen for the former Lyon man to stay at the Emirates.

Lacazette was Arsenal’s record signing when he joined in a £54million move from Lyon in 2017.

And with his current deal due to expire in 2022, that has sparked speculation the club might look to cash in this summer.

But Arteta says: “Laca is a player I always liked even when I was still playing.

“I really appreciate the qualities he brings to the team, his ability and his work-rate.

“We have had some positive news in the last week with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli signing new contracts and committing to the club.

“Now we have to have a chat with Auba about the next step with him and to ask him about his ideas and his feelings.

“But now is not the right time to talk about a lot of contract situations because we are in a crucial moment of the season.

“So we will talk at the right time and we’ll see then what happens.”

With Atletico reportedly interested in bring Lacazette to Spain, he could even form part of the deal to take Thomas Partey to North London.

The combative midfielder has caught the eye with a string of superb performances in la Liga and the Champions League this season.
