John Gosden stars Enable and Logician entered in Kempton’s September Stakes – Saturday runners and riders

ENABLE and Logician are the star names entered in Saturday’s Unibet September Stakes.

The John Gosden pair are amongst potentials for the Group 3, set to be Enable’s pre-Arc spin.

Enable won her third King George on her last run

But while Enable is all set for Kempton, Logician is unlikely to take up his entry connections have confirmed.

Enable’s biggest threat is likely to come from elsewhere with Melbourne Cup hopeful Prince Of Arran the main hope of any upset.

It’ll also see Frankie Dettori back on the big stage after his enforced quarantine following his two weeks spent in France riding at Deauville.

Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager to Khalid Abdullah, confirmed: “Enable and Logician won’t run against each other.

“Enable is very much an intended runner at this stage. We entered Logician just in case, as he is nearing a return and we’re considering a couple of different options.”

Enable took this race in 2018 before going on to win her second Arc. Connections will be hoping history can repeat itself as they hunt a historic third Arc.

Sir Michael Stoute’s Alignak, the David Simcock-trained Almania, Andrew Balding’s Fox Tal, James Fanshawe’s Kirstenbosch, Richard Hughes’ Punting and Tinandali from David O’Meara’s yard are the other contenders for Kempton.
