Roy Jones Jr ‘is going to get seriously hurt’ by Mike Tyson in exhibition fight, warns old rival Danny Williams

MIKE TYSON is going to “seriously hurt” Roy Jones Jr in their comeback bout.

That is the opinion of Danny Williams, who famously shocked the world by beating Iron Mike in 2004.

Williams famously beat Tyson but has warned Jones Jr he will get hurt by Iron Mike

Turns out Williams knows a thing or two about ill-advised returns to the ring.

The Brixton-born brawler, 47, was hammered by MMA heavyweight Sergei Kharitonov in worrying scenes last weekend, after his foe was joined on his walk to the ring by a live bear.

Williams duly retired for good after the fight but not without warning Jones Jr, 51, of his fate in the November 28 exhibition.

He said: “I think Roy is going to get seriously hurt. He is a natural middleweight.”

Tyson is no spring chicken himself at 54 despite his amazing body transformation, and many fans have expressed concern both are fighting again at a combined age of 105.

However, Jones recently explained how he has faced and overcome bigger battles than this.

The American said he had suicidal thoughts in his younger years.

Jones Jr told the Mail: “Yes it’s true. It was because of the pressure from my father.

“I thought if I got to take this, I’m gonna be dead, but then I talked to God.

“And I said, ‘Well, if I’m doing it, because this is how you want me to be, you want me to succeed at something, but it’s part of the process then I got to stay and keep up’.”

Jones Jr also insists he is now a “killer” and ready to do some damage, adding: “Nothing wrong with my father’s parenting skills, because my father wanted to prepare me to be the best at what I do.

“And to do that you have to separate parenting from… you had to bring me up as a killer at a certain age.

Jones Jr reckons he can beat Tyson when they meet

“And guess what I’m a killer. Any rivals they got to go.

“And when you’re doing it, you create a competition, because everything you do is competition.”

And, shoving Williams’ words back down his throat, Jones Jr says he can win despite being the underdog.

He added: ““Chances? I don’t have chances, I win.”
