Gary Neville launches blistering attack on Man Utd’s ‘appalling’ transfer window and demands three new signings

GARY NEVILLE has launched a blistering attack on Manchester United’s ‘appalling’ transfer window and demanded that they make at least three new signings.

The club legend expressed his dismay at United’s inability to bring in fresh talent and took to Twitter to voice his frustrations.

Neville is fuming that United haven’t made more signings

Neville tweeted: “It’s appalling that in this market which is probably the easiest in PL history to get transfers done that United haven’t done more yet!

“They must get Ole a CB , LB and Forward pre deadline! The others are managing to get things over the line why not United!”

His fierce criticism of United was met with bewilderment by some United fans who referred to Neville’s idea as ‘panic buying’.

One fan said: “Putting pressure to panic buy may not be the best strategy here Gary.”

This response seemed to anger Neville even more who said: “Panic Buy! They’ve needed these positions filling for 12 months , had a national lockdown to regroup and re-set and ample time to manoeuvre deals to a conclusion.”

United have made attempts to sign players in the positions referenced by Neville, but have failed to complete any of the deals.

They have been linked with centre-backs Dayot Upamecano and Kalidou Koulibaly, left-back Alex Telles and strikers Edison Cavani and Luka Jovic.

Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho has been the biggest target since last season as they look to fill that void on the right side while Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele is still linked with a move to Old Trafford.

United have only made one signing this summer, with Donny van de Beek joining from Ajax.

This is in stark contrast to their Premier League rivals such as Chelsea who have spent more than £200m already and still want to bring in £70m-rated Declan Rice.
