Hazard finally arrives at Real Madrid with stunning Rabona as 150m ex-Chelsea star puts fat jibes behind him

EDEN HAZARD produced his most convincing display in a Real Madrid shirt on the weekend as the winger finally opened his big box of tricks.

Fans were wowed by a stunning rabona the Belgian pulled out in the win over Eibar that helped banish rumours that of being overweight.

Reports in Spain claimed he was a whole stone overweight when Madrid forked out 150million for his services in the summer.

And former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger added fuel to the fire when remarking that Hazard was underperforming due to “physical reasons”.

The Belgian was at his agile best on Saturday though and local media joked the torrential rain created the perfect “English” conditions for him.

With three first-half goals, Real cruised to a 4-0 victory and Hazard had a hand in two of them.

Sergio Ramos netted a penalty after the winger was fouled in the area before Lucas Vazquez was played in by a sumptuous Hazard pass to win their second spot-kick of the night.

At 3-0 up, the visitors to Ipurua Municipal Stadium turned on the style and the former Chelsea star helped produce a stunning counter-attack.

From their own corner flag, Los Blancos played two backheels to set Hazard away and he dribbled round two men before delivering a gorgeous rabona cross.

Speaking after the game, coach Zinedine Zidane cooled down hopes his record signing was back to his best.

Still with just one goal to his name, Hazard’s first-half performance was complimented by his boss – who added that he will “be an important player for Madrid, for sure.”

Real need him to meet his potential while stuck in a tight battle at the top of La Liga.

The early weeks of the season have produced mixed form for all title contenders, Los Blancos sat second and level on points with Barcelona – but only two clear of high-flying Real Sociedad in fifth.
