Watch shock outsider Ivors Involvement become SECOND 100-1 winner in the space of a week at Sedgefield

HUGE outsider Ivors Involvement stormed home to become the SECOND 100-1 winner in the space of a week at the same racecourse.

Muroor surged over the line at Sedgefield last Thursday at triple digit odds to give trainer Victor Thompson a first winner in 579 days.

But now, one week since Muroor’s upset, Ivors Involvement has sprung another massive surprise.

Incredibly, the races even came at almost the exact same time.

Muroor’s win came in the 1.45pm Class 5 race over 2m 3f.

Ivors Involvement struck in the 1.22pm Class 5 Spray Technologies Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle over 2m 1f.

And the big prices did not stop there, with 50-1 shot Cryogenics finishing eight-and-a-half lengths behind him in second.

While 9-4 favourite Millie The Minx had to settle for third.

Ivors Involvement, ridden by Stephen Mulqueen and trained by Tina Jackson, was held up in midfield for most of the race.

Making headway three jumps from home, the eight-year-old gelding hit the front two out and surged clear approaching the last.

Ivors Involvement decimated his rivals to win at huge odds of 100-1

It is always a nervy moment clearing the final obstacle but Ivors Involvement – who last raced over hurdles some 897 days ago – flew over.

He left the rest trailing in his wake – and one fan at home totally stunned.

The viewer tweeted: “Outrageous. A 100-1 shot has just bolted up at Sedgefield!”

None of them can top 300-1 victor He Knows No Fear, however.

Luke Comer’s horse became the biggest-priced winner in British and Irish racing history when he took home the bacon at Leopardstown last August.
