Inside ruler of Dubai’s amazing £300MILLION superyacht with own disco, helipad, squash court and room for 115 guests

THERE are yachts. There are superyachts. And then there are £300MILLION mega-yachts that defy belief.

But what to you and me seems like something straight out of a Hollywood blockbuster is normal life for the ruler of Dubai.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, 71, is one of the richest people in the world.

His personal wealth is estimated at anywhere from £3billion to £10bn and as such he enjoys a life of unlimited luxury.

Sure there is the wildly successful Godolphin racehorse program, responsible for breeding some of the finest winners in the world.

There is his ownership of the Burj Al Arab, the world’s most luxurious hotel and the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building.

But nothing really comes close to the jaw-dropping awe factor of his incredible yacht.

Named Dubai, this absolutely enormous vessel is 531ft in length – about three football pitches – and requires 88 crew looking after it.

It was completed in 2006 and the yacht – which from 2006 to 2009 was the largest in the world – is usually moored at Sheikh Mohammed’s private island in front of his summer palace in Dubai.

The sheer size of the thing beggars belief.

Winding staircases can take you to any one of the eight decks

The amazing £300m yacht is the fourth biggest in the world

There is a helipad, enough space over its eight decks for 115 guests and even an onboard disco.

There is a massive dining room for entertaining visitors, a cinema, a submarine and even a squash court.

The 10m pool on the top is connected to not one but two Jacuzzis, with breathtaking views out over the ocean.

Winding staircases connect one storey to another and there are reported to be three lifts inside too.

The enormous yacht has a top speed of 30mph and its 1.2million litre diesel tanks mean it can travel 8,500 nautical miles.

Sheikh Mohammed is one of the world’s most successful racehorse owners

The interior is just as amazing as the outside

You can afford to live in unlimited luxury when you’re worth up to £10bn

It is no secret that those involved in horseracing have a lot of money.

But even by billionaire standards the Dubai yacht is a level above.

The Rueben brothers, who own Arena Racing Company which looks after several racecourses in Britain including Royal Windsor, own a yacht that was once voted the best in the world.

Savvy businessmen David and Simon, worth a whopping £16bn, spent around £63m on their yacht named Siren.

Sheikh Mohammed’s floating city on water is worth almost five times that.

Some of his money comes from the success of his Godolphin stable, which includes such famous horses as Dubawi, Ghaiyyath and Pinatubo.

And what better place to watch them than on this amazing yacht?
