Real Madrid have stepped up their interest in signing Rennes’ wonderkid and Man Utd target Eduardo Camavinga
Reports in France say Los Blancos are one step closer to signing him despite his 84m price tag

But Real have acted on their interest by making contact with the Ligue 1 side this week, according to L’Equipe.

The 17-year-old midfielder bagged a late winner against Lyon on Sunday which was his first goal for the club.

Camavinga was born in Angola and has been on the radar of Man Utd and Barcelona.

And it appears Real have acted fast in a bid to quash any interest from their European rivals.

Camavinga was thrust into the limelight in August after a scintillating display against Paris Saint-Germain.

Aged just 16 at the time, Camavinga bagged an assist and showcased an impressive range of passing.

While United will hope they can do something to get the youngster to Old Trafford, they have also been linked with a much older goalscorer in Mario Mandzukic.

The Croatian has reportedly “promised himself to United after not playing for Juventus all season.
