Amir Khan vs Kell Brook: Round-by-round as Special K dominates grudge match with brutal sixth-round stoppage

KELL BROOK can finally claim bragging rights on bitter rival Amir Khan – after a dominating their grudge match ten years in the making.

Brook at last had his arch rival in the ring and he made no mistake after all the years of the years of trash talk and goading.

In truth, Khan never looked at the races and may regret not having agreed the fight during his brilliant prime.

Here SunSport takes you through the fight round-by-round.

Round 1

Khan starts on the back foot, pumping out his jab to head and body, landing the first meaningful shot of the bout.

But a combination shakes Khan badly, after a Brook left hook sent him on wobbly legs.

Again, the 2004 silver medalist is stunned with a combination and barley survives the round, hanging till the bell.

Round 2

Left hook grazes Khan’s chin as Brook comes out fast.

Khan lets hands go, causing Brook ducks under and pushes his rival back with a quick counter.

Brook lands a big right hands but Khan replies with a one-two combination, causing his Sheffield rival to this time do the grabbing.

Round 3

Khan is using his jab better and lands a good left hook, scoring with another big shot as Brook holds on.

But Brook soon replies with a massive left-hook, right hand combination lands and Khan is wobbled AGAIN and in trouble.

Khan is bundled into the corner as Brook pours the pressure on even throwing the Bolton man to the floor, which isn’t scored a knockdown.

Round 4

Khan comes out quick with a combination, sensing the fight is slipping away from his grasp.

Right hand over over the top lands for Brook but Khan takes it, and scores a classy counter soon after.

Another big right hand late on for Brook lands and again Khan holds on in the corner, looking like he is running out of time and room.

Round 5

Right hand lands clean for Brook, leaving Khan on the retreat as the Special One pours on the pressure, looking for the finish.

Khan sent into the ropes as Brook stalks him all around the ring, punching him from corner to corner.

Big counter left hook lands for Khan, sending Brook off balance but there is not follow up.

Round 6

Khan is shaken with a jab and in trouble once and cornered.

Brook is letting his hands go and Khan is covering up, with little left to offer.

Khan is STOPPED on the ropes and Brook has bashed his way to a famous win on the most important night of his career.
