Anthony Joshua in Talks for Heavyweight Blockbuster
Anthony Joshua has confirmed that talks are underway for a mega superfight double featuring Oleksandr Usyk, Tyson Fury, and Deontay Wilder. The blockbuster event, with a reported value of £325 million, is set to take place on the undercard of the Fury vs Usyk undisputed clash in April.
Joshua's Middle East Showdown
After attending the US Grand Prix, Joshua revealed that discussions are ongoing to make the event happen in the Middle East. He stated, "They want to put Usyk-Fury, Joshua-Wilder on the same night. That might not happen until April."
Unification Fight Set for Riyadh
A unification fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk has already been signed and is scheduled to take place in Riyadh. The terms for former world champion Anthony Joshua to fight Deontay Wilder have also been agreed upon, although no date or venue has been confirmed for that bout.
Mega Card in the Works
Joshua revealed that the next window for the undisputed fight is expected to be in March-April. He stated, "What we are being told is they want to make it a mega card and they like the sound of Joshua v Wilder on the same night."
Stay Busy and Ready
While plans for the superfight are being finalized, Joshua intends to fight in December in London against an unnamed opponent. He emphasized the importance of staying busy and being prepared for the opportunity when it comes.
