AJ could take on Filip Hrgovic to win the belt for a third time

Joshua held the IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO titles twice before losing them to Usyk last year.

AJ then failed to reclaim the belts in his August rematch against the Ukrainian.

And he is now on the hunt for a new opponent after failing to secure a money-spinning showdown against fellow Brit Fury.

But there could be some good news for AJ’s title ambitions.

That’s because Usyk is now hoping to land a mega-fight against Fury for the WBA, WBC and WBO belts, according to TalkSport.

And in order to do so, Usyk would have to give up his IBF crown.

If that happens, IBF chiefs would then order Hrgovic to fight Andy Ruiz for the vacant title.

However, there’s another twist in the tale, as Ruiz is seeking to fight WBC hopeful Wilder instead.

And if that fight is made, then Joshua would finally get the call-up to take on Hrgovic for the IBF crown.

Meanwhile, Ruiz claims AJ wants a THIRD fight against the Mexican.

Ruiz said: “I’m trying to get those titles back.

“I just spoke to Anthony Joshua, he told me he wants to make something happen, he wants to make the trilogy – that’d be pretty cool!

“I just brought it up, but that’s how things happen and fights get made, so we’ll see.”

Punching Techniques

There are seven types: Left Hook (right hook), Right Hook (uppercut), Cross (cross), Straight, Overhand, Underhand. Each punch comes with its own technique. Some punches require greater strength than others. An uppercut, for instance, requires tremendous strength. A straight punch on the other side requires less power, but is more effective than other punches.

There are also many combinations. These are combinations which combine several punches in order to achieve a specific goal. One combination can have many parts. A left hook followed with a right-cross will cause injury to the opponent’s jaw.

If the attacker is coming from the front, he will bend at the knees to avoid getting kicked on either side. But if the attack comes in the back, he will stand straight and block the kick using his foot.

Elbows

Elbow strikes are very powerful because they inflict great pain. An elbow strike can be delivered either directly or indirectly. Directly means that you hit your opponent with your forearm while indirectly means that you hit him with another part of your arm.

Hands

Boxers use their hands to block incoming blows. To do this, they raise their fists higher than their heads and move their arms in the direction that the attack is coming. Then, they touch the attacker’s hand.

Knees

To absorb the impact of a punch to the stomach, abdomen, or chest, boxers should bend their knees. A lot of boxers use knee strikes to defend themselves.

Stances

To box effectively, a boxer must establish a stance. The way he defends himself will be determined by his stance. It defines where he faces his opponent and how he positions his body. Boxers have many options for stances. These are some of our most favorite:

  • Low stance
  • High stance
  • Southpaw stance
  • Western stance

Move your body

In order to win a fight, a boxer must move around his opponent. This means changing your speed, position and rhythm.

Rotation

When a boxer throws a punch, he rotates in order to increase the reach of his arm. Depending on what punch is being thrown, the speed of rotation varies.
