ANTHONY JOSHUA has revealed what was REALLY said during his chance meet-up with Tyson Fury out in Marbella.

The WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight champ uploaded a snap of the two Brits chatting out in sunny Spain onto social media last month.

Anthony Joshua bumped into Brit rival and fellow world heavyweight champ Tyson Fury out in Marbella last month

It came just weeks after Fury had announced that the pair had agreed to two fights in 2021.

The photo showed Fury, 31, parked up in his car with Joshua stood by the roadside chatting to him.

Now Joshua, who is expected to defend his titles against Bulgarian veteran Kubrat Pulev next in December, has opened up on how the discussion went.

And heavyweight contender Oleksandr Usyk seemed to be on the mind of the Gypsy King.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the 30-year-old said: “He [Fury] said: ‘Don’t lose to Kubrat Pulev!’

“I said: ‘That’s something silly to say’.

“He said: ‘Have you got to fight Usyk?’

“I said: ‘Look Tyson – when me and you can get a fight together, we don’t have to worry about Usyk. See you next year’.

“I said hello to Mrs Fury, gave her a wave, and that was it.”

Joshua insisted it was not a planned face-to-face, but did say that he “knew he was coming because I know a few people who know his mates”.

Both Fury and Joshua are expected to have title defences before the year is out.

Fury is contracted to have a trilogy fight against Deontay Wilder after he knocked out the American back in February to win the WBC strap.

Joshua will defend the other four belts in the heavyweight division against 39-year-old Pulev.

But that fight could take place without fans.

AJ’s promoter Eddie Hearn told ESPN: “We know AJ’s only going to fight once this year, so we want to give ourselves the best opportunity to bring in a crowd, and that would obviously be the later the better.

“But it’s still not a gimme at all. There’s still a very strong chance that AJ will have to fight behind closed doors.”
