ANTHONY JOSHUA will fight Oleksandr Usyk if Tyson Fury has to fight Deontay Wilder first.
AJ’s win over Kubrat Pulev has fuelled speculation that he could finally fight the Gypsy King next.
But Wilder, 35, has insisted he should be next in line to fight Fury, 32, for the third and final time.
Should Fury have to fight the Bronze Bomber next, AJ will take on Ukrainian ace Usyk.
Usyk, 33, boasts a perfect record of 18-0 including 13 knockouts following his win over Dereck Chisora.
Promoter Eddie Hearn told Sky Sports: “[Bob Arum] tells us Fury is contractually free to take any fight he wants.
“I do believe Wilder is appealing in US courts, but we don’t expect that to be a problem.
“If Fury can’t fight Joshua, AJ will fight Usyk.”
Fury beat Wilder at the second time of asking in February to become the WBC champion.
The Gypsy King, with a record of 30-0-1, has vowed to knockout AJ in three rounds when they meet.
Joshua lashed out at Fury’s comments as he said: “It’s good I can get him in the ring.”
The British rivals are reportedly set to lock horns for the first time in May 2021.
They are on course to agree TWO mega fights worth £500MILLION, with the rematch scheduled for late 2021.
