Billy Joe Saunders’ fan tattoo backfires as he gets 31-0 image with Brit holding Canelo’s head before fight loss

A BILLY JOE SAUNDERS fan’s tattoo backfired spectacularly after his crushing defeat to Canelo Alvarez.

The super supporter went big with the huge inking across his back with the design.

The design featured Saunders holding up Canelo’s head and 31-0 at the bottom

A video on social media showed the tattoo depicting Saunders victorious in their super-middleweight unification bout.

BJS stands pumping his biceps and holding up the decapitated head of a slain Canelo as blood pours to the floor.

At the bottom, the text reads ’31-0′ – the pro record the Brit would have moved on to with victory in Texas last night.

In the video, the camera reveals the drawing the tattoo was based on while God Save The Queen boomed loudly in the background.

The fan, holding an England flag and wearing a sombrero, said: “Come on Billy! Up the gypsies, come on.

“Pull his head off the f***ing dosser.”

However, things did not turn out as hoped for Saunders and his fans.

He put on an impressive display against Canelo and was more than holding his own in the title bout.

But the Mexican stunned his rival with a trademark uppercut from his rival which broke his eye socket forcing him to throw the towel in after the eighth round.

Saunders was rushed to hospital as Canelo – ahead on all three scorecards at the time of the stoppage – celebrated his victory.

Chris Eubank Jr mocked Saunders after he pulled out and shared a video laughing at the ‘wet bag’.

The 31-year-old had bet £10,000 on Canelo to win the fight inside the 12 rounds and promised to give his returns to charity.

And now Eubank is clearly eyeing a big step up by calling out the WBA, WBC, WBO and The Ring super-middleweight king.
